The aim of the TÜV Rheinland Green Product Mark label is to contribute to the reduction of negative environmental impacts that can arise during the manufacture and use of laptops. To this end, the standard sets requirements for the handling of chemical ingredients, the reusability and reuse of recycled materials, the carbon footprint, and energy consumption/energy efficiency.
The Green Product Mark label is awarded by TÜV Rheinland. TÜV Rheinland is a technical service provider that carries out tests, inspections, certifications, consulting and training. Its aim is to simultaneously ensure the safety, sustainability, environmental friendliness and economic efficiency of products in various sectors of the economy.
The label can be applied to various product groups. In addition to information and communication technology products, these include audio and video products, household appliances, furniture, textiles and toys.
