Green Shape®

The Green Shape Standard, originally developed by VAUDE has been founded as a program owner independent of VAUDE. The aim is to establish this standard as a new, credible and ambitious environmental certification for the industry in accordance with the EU's anti-greenwashing guidelines. The Green Shape Standard is used to certify environmentally friendly clothing and outdoor textile products. Certification ensures that certified products meet high environmental standards and that systematic processes are in place throughout the entire product life cycle to ensure environmental protection. The standard sets itself apart from existing standards by taking a holistic view of the life cycle of products. It promotes a circular economy and resource-conserving production. Companies certified to the Green Shape Standard demonstrate their commitment to environmentally friendly product development. In addition to the responsibility of companies to reduce the environmental risks of their products and product development processes, the Green Shape Standard raises consumer awareness of sustainable consumption and provides clear guidance when purchasing environmentally friendly clothing and outdoor textile products.
