EU Ecolabel - Textiles

The EU Ecolabel is owned by the European Commission. The European Union Eco-labelling Board (EUEB) with representatives of each EU member state as well as industry, environmental and consumer associations is responsible for the label. It aims at helping consumers to identify environmentally friendly products. For textile products the label defines requirements regarding its environmental and functional features of the entire value chain. Natural as well as synthetic fibers are considered. All requirements are immediately binding.
