Since 1979, Biokreis has stood for regional, trustworthy networks, animal welfare and artisanal food processing in harmony with nature. Biokreis creatively and consistently shapes organic farming.

The Biokreis emerged from a consumer movement and is still the only organic association where consumers can become members. In this way, Biokreis integrates the entire value chain from the field to the plate into its work.

Some food products go through complex manufacturing processes. During production, basic products are processed, preserved and food additives are added
