The aim of the initiative is to improve working conditions worldwide. Member companies include retailers, supermarkets, department stores' chains and suppliers. They commit to progressively implement the ETI Code of Conduct within their own companies and with their suppliers.
The Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) is a membership initiative in which companies, trade unions, and non-governmental organisations have banded together.
ETI is a membership initiative and does not carry out certification. Therefore, it cannot be compared to environmental and social labels that are based on certification. The label cannot be found on products.
