The FLA Workplace Code of Conduct defines labor standards that aim to achieve decent and humane working conditions in factories and on farms. The FLA Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing and Production define essential company-level practices for ensuring safe and sustainable supply chains. All FLA standards are based on International Labor Organization standards (ILO core conventions) and internationally accepted good labor practices. Each member company commits to implementing the FLA Principles in its own business practices and to upholding the FLA Code of Conduct in its supply chain. FLA evaluates member companies on an ongoing basis and awards accreditation to those companies that demonstrate adherence to FLA standards.
FLA is a collaborative effort of universities, civil society organizations and socially responsible companies dedicated to protecting workers’ rights around the world.
The FLA is a multistakeholder initiative that evaluates companies’ social compliance practices and ensures that these practices are implemented in the company’s supply chain. The logo cannot be found on the products of the participating companies, but companies who have achieved FLA accreditation may display the logo on their websites and other communication materials.
