As a pioneer of fair trade, we aim to go beyond the general fair trade criteria. The new fair+ mark emphasises our level of commitment in addition to the GEPA logo. fair+ is not an additional label.
Fair + is a proprietary add-on to GEPA’s corporate logo. GEPA stands for "Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Partnerschaft mit der Dritten Welt mbH" (GEPA Society for the Promotion of Partnership with the Third World, Ltd.). GEPA cooperates with six certification and monitoring systems, e.g. Fairtrade International and Naturland FAIR.
Fair trade is the only purpose of our company. Goal: Cooperation with disadvantaged producer groups, raising awareness among consumers, contribution to a fairer world economy through political work. GEPA is one of the few companies to have been audited according to the guarantee system of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). This monitoring observes the entire organization, i.e. its way of working. It defines steps to improvement and development. In 2020 GEPA was awarded the CSR Prize of the Federal Government in the category “Responsible Supply Chain Management.
