HAND IN HAND links the idea of controlled organic farming with that of fair trade and is also intended to make this visible to consumers. The label is awarded to products whose raw materials come to more than 50% from HAND IN HAND partners and which have been traded under HAND IN HAND conditions. Long-term cooperation, constant exchange and personal visits are intended to guarantee the highest product quality. Independent inspectors additionally ensure quality and compliance with the standard through regular inspections.
Proprietor of HAND IN HAND is Rapunzel Naturkost GmbH, one of the leading organic producers in Europe. The seal has been in existence since 1992.
More than 120 Rapunzel products now bear the HAND IN HAND seal. Mono-products such as quinoa, mangoes or cashew nuts contain 100% HAND IN HAND raw materials. Non-classical fair trade products, such as palm oil, can also be HAND IN HAND certified.
