The %-Recycling-Kunststoff quality mark stands for environmental protection and resource conservation in packaging by promoting the recyclable material cycle through recycling from household recycling collections. With the quality mark, companies can document that plastics from the yellow sack / yellow bin (or similar systems) are recycled to a high standard and reused in their packaging/products recycled and reused in their packaging/products. By indicating the percentage, consumers can see what percentage of the respective packaging consists of recycled plastic.
The standard organisation is “RAL - Gütegemeinschaft Rezyklate aus haushaltsnahen Wertstoffsammlungen e.V.” (RAL Quality Association for Recyclates from Household Recycling Collections).
The RAL Quality Mark "Recyclates from Household Reusable Material Collections" is intended to ensure complete proof of the origin of secondary raw materials from household separate collection in the respective stages of the process chain and to mark products whose quality is assured with the quality mark.
